Art Deco figures carved in the sandstone pylons on the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge in Cleveland in 1932. They are called the Guardians of Transportation. There are eight total - four on each end of the bridge, back to back. Each is holding a different vehicle - covered wagon, etc.

Paul Giglia is a freelance writer and photographer. Previously just a hobby, for the last few years he has studied and practiced photography in earnest. He has a wide interest in photographic subjects, but has concentrated on unique florals, landscapes, wildlife, and cityscapes. In another life, Paul had a long career as a comedy writer for comedians, radio, television, and print, and was an editor/writer of humorous greeting cards at American Greetings.
