The Mentor Road Covered Bridge stands over a river in Ohio. A texture has been added to make the bridge the focus of attention and also to give the image a painterly look. This bit of history is a fine example of the covered bridges that once dotted our country landscapes.

Paul Giglia is a freelance writer and photographer. Previously just a hobby, for the last few years he has studied and practiced photography in earnest. He has a wide interest in photographic subjects, but has concentrated on unique florals, landscapes, wildlife, and cityscapes. In another life, Paul had a long career as a comedy writer for comedians, radio, television, and print, and was an editor/writer of humorous greeting cards at American Greetings.
